To practice yoga, ideally it depends on what is the requirement, what is your requirement. Because for the yoga, one should practice yoga, that is there should be a gap between your food and your yoga. There should be a 3 hour gap. Minimum 3 hour gap between food and yoga and if anybody is practicing yoga, depends on what is the requirement, like if anybody has cancer or if anybody has got lung cancer. In that case they need more oxygen. For that there is recommended that they should practice a minimum 2 or 3 times yoga everyday. So if one person is looking for the general fitness, it better to practice yoga once, like in the morning they can practice if you are looking yoga for the meditative purpose, like you want to do meditation, you want to purify, you want to do something on your meditation. For that if you practice yoga in the brahmamuhurth and sandhya kaal. So there is a 3 sandhya. One sandhya is once the night is going to complete and the day is going to start. That is the brahmamuhurth, early in the morning. One sadhya is when the day is going to decline, means the afternoon, that is one sadhyaan, the madhyaan, and one sandhya is when the nigh is going to start, that is the evening. So the morning brahmamuhurth and the sayankaal, once the star is going to come in the sky and the sun is going to set. So that time is the very ideal time to practice the yoga if you are going to practice yoga for the meditative purpose. Otherwise you can practice yoga once that is ideal. One hour practice is very good if you are very busy, you can practice yoga like 20 minute in the morning. So the paranayam part you can do in the morning, all the stretches you can practice in the evening because till the evening your body gets more flexibility and you can do all the asanas properly in the evening so that you can finish the pranayam part in the morning and in the evening you can do the stretches.
