I have had good luck with Sargent seats, and have been reasonably satisfied with Corbin. However I plan at some point finally breaking down and buying a Russell Day Long seat for my RT. In the meantime, I tried the economic route and the Airhawk R. The Airhawk R is the "anatomically improved" version of their standard inflatable seat pad. I initially bought the "small" size" but traded it in for the "large" size, which fits MUCH better.
The design of the pad and its recommended use keep your rear end from moving around (some pads years ago had an unstable feeling that was similar to sitting on a water balloon).
For really extended rides (10 hours and more) , i have tried varying the pressure throughout the day with good luck. When the cushion is firmer than they recommend,
