A day after a suicide bombing at a mosque in Pakistan killed at least 100 people, injured witnesses recounted the moment of the attack struck a crowd gathered for noon prayers on January 30, 2023. Authorities said 97 of those killed were police officials. The attack in the northwestern city of Peshawar happened inside a high-security zone where police headquarters are located. The area near the border with Afghanistan has been the scene of frequent militant attacks.
