The boys head to Sweden for the second night of the Be Here Now Tour and this one has been praised by many to be one of the best shows of the tour and it is a pretty great one overall. The audience on the previous show was quite timid for an Oasis gig for the most part, and while the same can be said here for a part of the show they begin to get more enthusiastic from Magic Pie onwards and the band seem to play with a bit more vigour tonight too as a result of this with some good renditions of Stay Young and D’You Know What I Mean, and also one of my favourite versions of It’s Getting Better Man. Liam tonight sounds just about as good as the previous night and while he cracks pretty badly in Be Here Now he soon warms up and does do an excellent version of Some Might Say and All Around The World (a song he notoriously struggled with throughout the tour) also sounds good here. While the setlist only slightly changed up through the course of the 1997 Tour you’ll find that these Be Here Now shows are always electric performances in some way or another despite it and this show is no different, quite an enjoyable one.
