A short video showing my small 30mm dia Beta Stirling engine being driven off the waste heat from a simple wood burner. The trial was to demonstrate how electricity could be generated from waste gases using a simple Stirling engine generating 'free' electrical energy, enough to charge phones or power LED lights from any form of fire.
The Stirling engine is classed as external combustion engine as opposed to the petrol engine which burns the fuel inside a combustion chamber, i.e. internal combustion engine. This means the Stirling engine can be driven of any fuel available wood, coal , gas, waste oils or from just the waste heat from your wood burner or fire.
