Ever wanted to make a 48 Hour Film? This week we take a look at how to make a 48 Hour Film Project with a behind-the-scenes look at our 2018 Tampa 48 Hour Film Project Best Film Winner, "Love Hurts." The short film was made entirely in 48 hours. If you've thought about participating in the 48 Hour Film Project, this video will give you a BTS look at how to make a film in 48 Hours.
The 48 Hour Film Project is a global contest that challenges local filmmakers to produce films in under 48 hours. The filmmakers have to include a set of required elements including: a line of dialogue, a prop, and a character. Each team is also given a unique genre that they must follow. Our genre was: Disaster Film. Check out how to shoot a 48 hour film.
The Film Jams crew worked two sleepless nights and had blast. We ended up bringing home 11 awards, including best film, best director, best cinematography, best editing, audience choice and best actor and actress! After winning the Tampa 48 Hour Film Project, our team now moves on to the International finals next year at Filmapalooza in March! And the top 10 films from there go on to Cannes Film Festival in France.
