Former SCOPA chairperson Themba Godi says there is no constitutional requirement to prevent an accused person from standing as a Member of Parliament in South Africa. This follows several MPs having taken the oath while facing criminal charges. Among those is former sports minister Zizi Kodwa, who was sworn in on Tuesday.
