Ingredients:
To Make Concentrated Coffee Solution:
2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
1 teaspoon warm water or milk
For the Coffee Pastry Cream Filling:
6 egg yolks
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups full cream milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Concentrated coffee solution
For the Coffee Crust:
4 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1 medium egg
1/2 cup all purpose flour
Concentrated coffee solution
For the Dough:
3 cups all purpose flour + 1/4 cup for kneading
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup white sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
1 cup lukewarm milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 medium egg
Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 15-20 minutes
Makes 10 pieces of buns weighing 85g each of unbaked dough
