France's Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said he would offer his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron on Monday after his party failed to win a majority in parliamentary elections. But Macron is likely to refuse his resignation and ask Attal to stay on for the time being, with a clear candidate for his replacement yet to emerge, says France 24's French politics editor Marc Perelman.
