John, I'm Only Dancing is a fantastic Bowie song that never appeared on any of his albums. The structure and chords are pretty simple, and the intro has a very distinctive G to C/G on-off movement going on. Making this flow well is all about using the correct fingers.
The song is in swing time and moves pretty fast. There's a fun little run down from C major to A minor which bounces off the root notes on the A string, going down C-B-A. You need to emphasise those notes and not worry too much about strumming the rest of the strings.
The only chord I'm not 100% sure about is the Fmaj7 in the chorus, but it does fit quite well to my ear.
