Pirate Station was a series of CD mixes issued to accommodate the titular drum and bass festival in Russia. Weak copyright law at the time allowed distributing these mixes without acquiring licensing fees as long as they didn't feature a tracklist. After Russia joined WTO they ceased the production in favor of issuing more legally sound mixes consisting of local talents while the CD market eventually went bust with the growth of internet usage.
