I just got this working and wanted to test the audio signal from the record player.
The console is a 1967 unit titled "The Colonial" by General Electric featuring a Tonal 1 RD 425-6 record player phonograph. I read that this actually may be a phonograph from the company "Voice of Music" for GE.
The porta-fi transmitter I installed is an SP66g solid state transmitter for Channel B. The AC connection had to be adapted because the transmitter is newer than the console. Apparently in 1967 the tube version of the porta-fi transmitter was the dominant design. I followed the example of this blog restoration for the adapter [ Ссылка ]
The porta-fi speaker is the SP20-B and it is quite nice sounding with a tube amplifier and porta-fi channel switcher for both A & B. the reason that switcher is nice is because I will be on the lookout for redundant transmitters on ebay and they come in two types channel A & B.
