Lincoln Tech student William Jorgensen, training for an Automotive Technology career at the Columbia (MD) campus, joined the Schmidt Peterson Motorsports race team for the Honda Grand Prix of Alabama in Birmingham on April 23rd. Selected to participate in the Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Mentor Program, William and instructor Feyisola Ayodele met driver James Hinchcliffe and spent the weekend learning about life on an IndyCar team. They were in the pits to see Hinchcliffe’s solid finish following a first-place win two weeks earlier in Long Beach, CA.
