Dan, my name is Jacob and I have been watching your channel for just over a year now. I thought about calling you on several occasions for possible assistance. I was indicted 2016 on charges of wire fraud as well as falsifying tax documents for purposes of tax evasion. My mistake was asking my criminal defense lawyer what his thoughts were in regards to hiring a consultant. He was not at all for it. Basically, he explained there is absolutely nothing a prison consultant can do except maybe give me poor advice that could result in further problems.

My attorney expressed his thoughts regarding someone assisting with letters, mentor groups, PSR prep as nothing more than a modern day snake oil salesman. I do not know why I did not listen to my gut but I decided to let him handle the situation. I did prepare my letters and when I asked for advice he sent me a template that I later found online. I am sure my letters did very little if anything at all in order to help. I had more than 25 reference letters which my lawyer explained was the perfect amount.

I kept asking him what I needed to do in order to prepare for my PSI interview. He said not to worry that we would cover that when the time was right. I asked about RDAP and received the same answer. Then out of the blue, I received a call from him telling me my PSI is tomorrow at 9am. I was very upset as I asked him what I needed to know in order to prepare? His reply was just honest. I asked again about RDAP and he said the BOP would determine if I qualify or not. He told me in an aggravated tone that I was overthinking too much and to just relax.

My plea was for 60 months. There were six of us involved. Four individuals received reduced sentences. Myself & one codefendant both received the full 60 months. There is no mention of my drinking issues recorded in my PSI as I did not disclose it out of fear of a harsher sentence. My surrender date is 12/10/18.

I am very upset about not going with my heart when I knew to hire you would have increased my opportunity. Is there anything that your team may be able to do at this point. I am at a very low point in my life right now hoping there is something that can be done.
