Eco Hacks: Ep. 7 🌎✨ Making your own nut milk and creamer ☕ is an easy way to reduce waste. It is such a simple and quick process; you only need a powerful blender and a nut milk bag. I'm using my state-of-the-art @ZWILLINGUSA Enfinigy Power Blender, which effortlessly turns nuts into milk; it's truly amazing!
One thing that has helped me have fresh ingredients on hand at all times is my Zwilling Fresh & Save Cubes; they have a super cool sleek vacuum pump that allows me to store my raw nuts and keep them fresh for much longer. I use these for all the raw goods in my pantry, and I love how they’re modular, and stack perfectly, and shaped to maximize the use of storage space.
Want to try to make this coffee creamer at home? Here's the recipe!
🌰 Hazelnut Coffee Creamer 🌰
◻️ 1 Cup Raw Hazelnuts, Soaked
◻️ 2 Cups Water
◻️ 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup (optional)
◻️ ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
◻️ A Pinch of Salt (optional)
1. Soak the hazelnuts in water for at least 4 hours.
2. Drain the hazelnuts and blend with fresh water, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
3. Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag, and boom! Homemade coffee creamer!
You can use any type of nuts! Hazelnuts are my fave, but you can also use brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, peanuts, almonds, etc.
Happy Earth Week! xo
