Automated Border Control (ABC) systems, or ‘eGates’, are automated self-service barriers that use chip-stored data in biometric passports to verify the holder’s identity. With this project, funded by the 2014-2020 Internal Security Fund of the European Union, Schengen citizens have a quick and smooth border control in many airports in Europe.
