This video shows a Dictyostelium discoideum cell moving in a 2-µm-deep chamber with a chemical gradient directed to the right; the chemical concentration increases by 5% across the length of the cell's body. The cell includes a green fluorescent marker that reveals activated Ras protein. Total time elapsed is about 10 minutes.
