On the first episode of Buda*Flakes, we will discover the Studio House. This is an off the beaten path building a throwstone away from the famous Gellért Baths. The műteremház (studio house) was built in 1903 as a workshop for artists. A precursor of modern co-working spaces? In a way, yes! In this uphill Buda location, Hungarian painters and artists could rent apartments for a lower fee, and have a space to focus, away from the distraction of the lively cafés in Pest. I think this is one of the most charming art nouveau buildings in Budapest, and I am thrilled to show it to you! Follow Buda*flakes to discover more Budapest's hidden gems, and get to know many tour guides!
