Ronald P. Pelletier, MD became the Director of Transplantation at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in New Brunswick in April 2018. Dr. Pelletier is a graduate of University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, OH. He went on to complete his general surgical residency, transplant research fellowship and clinical transplant surgery fellowship at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Prior to becoming the Director of Transplantation, Dr. Pelletier was Surgical Director of Kidney Transplantation and Medical Director of the Tissue Typing Laboratory at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH. He served on the Medical Board at Lifeline of Ohio, an organ procurement agency based in Columbus. Dr. Pelletier’s clinical and research interests include post-transplant allorecognition and immune tolerance, and donor-specific alloantibody production after transplantation. He also has published extensively on post-transplant outcomes.
