6 'rubbish' exercises that are actually great for you and will help your gym progress no end! While lifting heavy and intensely is always going to be your foundation, if you're not taking care of your body or thinking about the long term effects training will have on you, eventually you will a wall. And not because you chose to punch some bricks.
Stretching, foam rolling, cardio, walking, lunges and burpees all have huge benefits and, better still, can be done from home. No need for a gym or any fancy equipment. You can take care of your body while increasing your muscle mass without having to overthink it.
The only issue is that, yes, they are 'rubbish'. No one likes foam rolling or stretching for 10 minutes. You don't get a gym pump from that, and let's be honest - the gym pump is all we really want.
