This is a video showing how to get to the hidden Clap Trap that is behind the munitions store in Fyrestone. It took a long time to figure it out, but there is one area that you can get through that doesnt have any invisible walls (surprising eh?).

Unfortunately, he doesnt serve any purpose. You dont get anything, from him, he is just there to troll people into wasting hours of their life getting to him.
