Mika Häkkinen’s 2000 McLaren MP4/15 finishing the lap at Indianapolis, onboard as well as being filmed by two of F1 Digital’s ‘flip-flop’ cameras, with that incredible engine note caused by the exhausts exiting underneath the car rather than on top like other constructors’ cars did.
Sadly, this engine would catch fire, causing Mika to retire from the race. Not scoring, combined with Michael Schumacher winning & getting 10 points, this mechanical failure virtually ended Mika’s challenge for the 2000 Formula 1 World Championship.
