We have over 30k plays on SoundCloud for this version although we did not win partially due to many people just uploading the tracks and not changing anything just so they could enter. That saturated all of the whole contest entries with disqualified entries. and I think a lot of people were accidentally overlooked as a result. There were like 75,000 entries were folks downloaded the stems from the contest website and then didn't change anything at all and uploaded it as their contest entry song. I remember searching for my song after it was posted on SoundCloud and I heard so many unchanged songs.. they got a ton of plays too because people would listen hoping the music would change but it didn't. I was so flabbergasted from the experience I stopped listen probably like everyone else did also. Of course the people that cheated would be disqualified but it effectively turned people off (myself included) from wanting to keep scrolling through. All of the top results were either very bad or the same song unchanged. Why would anyone keep listening to the same thing. The not remixed song were getting more plays because it was the first to come up in search and I think that deferred people from locating the artists that are talented and put in the hard work to create something better than it was. I hope you Enjoy my take on this song.
