Mutton Tahari || Mutton Pulao || Gosht Ki Tahari || Mutton Tahari Recipe
Hyderabadi Mutton Tahari is a very tasty authentic dish of Hyderabad made using rice, mutton and various spices.This is also called Mutton Pulao or Gosht ka Pulao. It is a very tasty dish mostly made during special occasions.So lets begin. MARINATION OF MUTTON ===================== Mutton - 1/2 kilo or 500 gram FOR MARINATION WE REQUIRE ========================= Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder - 2 teaspoon Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon Yogurt - 200 gram Salt - 1/2 teaspoon ADD ALL THESE INTO MUTTON MIX WELL AND MARINATE FOR 30 MINUTES WASH AND SOAK 1/2 KILO RICE IN WATER FOR 30 MINUTES. COOKING PROCESS =============== 1.In a pan heat oil - 4 tablespoon Clarified butter - 1 teaspoon 2.When oil gets heated add Cardamom - 3 Cloves - 4 Cinnamom stick - 2 Bay leaves - 2 ADD THESE TO THE OIL AND FRY FOR 30 SECONDS. 3.Now add sliced onion - 1 medium sized and fry till golden brown. 4.Add ginger garlic paste - 2 tablespoon. 5.Add tomatoes diced - 3 medium sized and add salt - 1/2 teaspoon. 6.Add marinated mutton pieces and cook for 15 minutes. 7.In a pressure cooker cook mutton till tender. 8.Transfer mutton in a big pan and add 7 glasses of water. 9.To this water add Caraway seeds - 1/2 teaspoon Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoon Green chillies - 5 Few coriander and mint leaves. 10.Let the water boil then add the washed rice and cook till water dries up. 11.When water gets dried then close lid , lower the flame and cook under dum for 15 minutes. 12.Tasty hyderabadi mutton tahari is ready to serve. 13.Serve hot with onion-yogurt raita
