Tensions ran high between supporters of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his opponents late Wednesday after his rivals announced they have reached a deal to form a new governing coalition, paving the way for the ouster of the longtime Israeli leader.
Protesters from both camps gathered outside a hotel in Kfar Maccabiah in central Israel where opposition leader Yair Lapid and his main coalition partner, Naftali Bennett met with other Netanyahu rivals to forge the coalition deal.
