Most videos of people getting (supposedly) DESTROYED aren't actually very good examples of how to refute opposing points of view. It's a shame, because mastering the skill of refutation is what separates the best persuasive speakers from mediocre ones.

Competitive debaters usually use a universal structure to come up with strong refutations on the spot - and it's quick and easy to learn how.

This video covers what a refutation is, and different ways to refute an argument in a debate. Most importantly, it answers the question of, "How Can You Refute An Opposing Argument Logically?.

I use an example about whether it's right that cancer drugs are so expensive and whether they should continue to be funded. This video will teach you 3 ways refutation techniques can work against this argument.

I don't hold much hope that such knowledge will improve logical quality of discussion when someone is being allegedly DESTROYED, EVISCERATED, ANNIHILATED, or some other superlative phrase. But despite that, I hope it will help improve your attempts to call out weak arguments, and your general critical thinking skills.
