Janét Hund demonstrates the utility of using OER to not just make interactive textbooks, but also to use up to date content where the time from public reporting of a sociology issue and adding it to their book is minutes to hours. She lead a team funded by the Academic Senate of the California Community College Open Education Resources Initiative (OERI) to build "Race and Ethnic Relations in the U.S.: An Intersectional Approach" on the LibreTexts platform including the text and other ancillary materials.:
