Simple ways to use the market depth histogram. What does market depth mean? Is the market depth useless as an indicator? A little bit of an introduction on the market depth and maybe some simple ways of judging what you're seeing on this. If you're not familiar with the histogram and the market depth histogram - on the order book price ladder you get the bid, offer, volumes on both sides...etc So you'd have the price and the number of contracts or shares available at each of those price levels. The histogram is on the side is basically telling you the number of contracts that have traded at a certain price level. OK.P
