Cryptolaemus montrouzieri feeds on many species of Sternorrhyncha, mostly mealybugs (Pseudococcidae), soft scales (Coccidae), whiteflies (Aleyrodidae), and aphids (Aphididae). Now, being able to feed on an organism is not the same as being able to feed and reproduce with it as the sole source of food, and neither of those are the same as being a good biocontrol agent of said organism.
