Bengali Fish Curry is a tasty and tangy #FishCurryRecipe. This #BengaliFishCurry is made with fresh rohu, potato and aromatic spices. Bengali Fish Curry Recipe:
Fish (Rohu) - 4 Fillets
Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Oil - 5 tbsp
Potato (thick slices) - 1 no
Mustard Oil - 2 tbsp
Onion - 2 no
Green Chilli (slit) - 2 nos
Tomato (roughly chopped) - 2 no
Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Water - 1 Cup
Cooking Instructions:
1. Marinate the fish in salt and turmeric powder.
2. Make a paste of 2 tomatoes, strain and set aside.
3. Make a fine paste of 1 onion.
4. Fry the fish in oil for 3 minutes and set aside.
5. Fry the potato slices in the oil until golden brown and set aside.
6. Add mustard oil and 1 sliced onion and the slit green chillies. Saute for a minute and add the onion paste of 1 onion. Saute for 3 mins.
7. Add the powdered spices, tomato puree and salt and simmer for 4 minutes
8. Add the potatoes, a cup of water and boil for 5 minutes.
9. Add the fish and cook for 2 minutes.
