** Warning: not for general entertainment ** This video was filmed to show the work done on this particular guitar... hence the length. Please don't expect it to be well-edited or exciting! Also, if you disagree with how I do something please feel free to share your knowledge - I'm very happy to learn but I can't be doing with people trying to make themselves feel better by putting others down.
In this video I'm doing a set up on a Ibanez RG, a lovely guitar with no real problems other than the owner has worn the frets flat in around the 12th fret from playing so hard.
It's a through-neck so I'm making sure to protect the finish on the top half of the body by masking it off with tape. This guitar had around 70% uneven frets - up there on the leaderboard with the Squiers. I only adjusted the action down a minute amount (it was already pretty low) to just over 1mm at the 24th fret.
The floating tremelo unit was already set to the right up-bend intervals so no adjustment was needed.
