Roque José Florêncio, also know as "Pata Seca", was a slave to a landowner on the outskirts of São Carlos, in the interior of São Paulo, Brazil, would have been born in the first half of the 19th century and died, according to his death certificate, in 1958. Declared a "breeding slave" by his physical size, seen as ideal for generating children adapted to forced labor, would be the father of 200 children.
