Iran, like England, has a national fondness for tea. Iranian tea, called chai, is made using spices including saffron, coriander pod, cinnamon, and cloves. It has a rich golden colour, and a spicy sweet flavour.
The Iranian Heritage Project was initiated by Northern Cultural Projects CIC in order to invite the Iranian community of the North East of England to learn about, record and document their history and heritage within the region.
