One of the most common pickup upgrades on these Squiers have been Nordstrand and for good reason. In this video, you will hear how these Nordstrand sound on a semi-budget bass!! The Squier bass does have the original preamp installed as you'll be hearing throughout this video.

Pickups: Nordstrand Big Single 5 Alnico III

The signal chain is plugged direct onto a Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 in Logic Pro X. Using no plug-ins or compression.

The strings used on this bass during recording are SIT Power Wound Nickel 45-125.
