Australia is one of those places you always dream of going to but never think you actually will. I always thought of it as one of those places you see on TV, nearly as if Steve Irwin was a fictional character of this gorgeous make-believe world. Justin and I researched for months on where we should go because the country is massive! We finally settled on road-tripping the Gold Coast and Hinterland.
We started in Byron Bay and then worked our way up to Noosa. Unfortunately, it rained every single day and all of our tours were canceled. We were not able to get much footage but spent a lot quality time just soaking up nature and driving down random backroads.
Australia did give us a little wink and let us end our trip with the most epic sunset we have ever seen! We hiked Mt. Ngungun, one of the Glasshouse Mountains located just north of Brisbane. From the summit, we soaked up every moment as the sun painted the Hinterland valley and fog danced around the peaks of the mountains in the distance.
We cannot wait to be back to explore other parts of the country in 2023!
