The hardest thing about loving JJ Cale's music is sharing it! Why? Because after "Naturally" it just kept getting better, but it didn't get the right exposure, so amazing songs like this are not well known at all. This is JJ Cale at his very bluesy best, and "Shades" is an exceptional album. Try it out here: [ Ссылка ] I'm not paid a cent, so please like & subscribe. Thank you. (Lyrics & humorous info below)
Yes, I've been moving to the highway
Rambling man keeps rambling on
Yes, I've been moving to the highway
Rambling man keeps rambling on
Well, you can't seem to see it my way
Pack my jack and I'll be gone
I said trouble, trouble follows easy
Follows me everywhere I go
Trouble, trouble follows easy
Follows me everywhere I go
I can't seem to shake old trouble
Trouble got me down
Lord, I woke this morning feeling hazy
My good gal she done left and gone
Yes, I woke this morning feeling hazy
My good gal she done left and gone
She said I was dumb and lazy
Ain't no truth in that at all

You have to read this snippet below. It's surreal. "Josie" by Steely Dan?
[“Pack My Jack” recalls earlier Cale songs like “Travelin’ Light” and “I’m a Gypsy Man” and speaks to the freedom of the highway and how “a ramblin’ man keeps ramblin’ on.” The album’s closing track, “Josie” is an instrumental that clocks in at nearly five-and-a-half minutes, making it the longest version song of Steely Dan to appear on one of Cale’s albums.
Shades' cover features a silhouette of a guitar player, presumably Cale, inspired by the design of French cigarettes brand Gitanes. The notoriously media-shy singer would not use his own image on an LP cover until his 1983 album #8.] ~ Wiki
The final instrumental is "Cloudy Day" & not "Josie" by Steely Dan!! That has to be the craziest thing I've ever found online! JJ Cale covered "Josie" according to Wiki!? I wish!
