Gestational diabetes affects the mother and the fetus. Multiple pregnancies like twin pregnancy or triplet pregnancy can cause risk to the mothers and cause preterm labour. Low lying placenta or placenta previa causes bleeding during pregnancy. Women with high risk pregnancy need a close monitoring.
