If you were a kid in the eighties, you're a John Williams kid.
He put music to some of the best and more iconic adventure movies ever, like Star Wars or Indiana Jones.
One of my fondest childhood memories is being sitting down in my parents house's sitting room rug, warm and cozy, eating popcorn while the 'Raiders March' or 'The Imperial March' were coming out the TV during 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark' or 'The Empire Strikes Back'.
Then, in the nineties, both Steven Spielberg and Williams surprised us with a movie like 'Schindler's List' that dealt with a one of the darkest chapters of human history.
For that movie, Williams created some of his most moving and heartbreaking themes ever, and the whole thing stands today, almost 30 years later, as one of his best and more meaningful efforts.
Also, when I first saw the movie back in 1994, I noticed for the first time since I could remember, Williams had used guitars in one of his soundtracks, in the shape of a small cue at the end of 'Stolen Memories', corresponding in the movie with the moment when Schindler rescues the Perlmans after their daughter pledged to him.
It's just few seconds, but I remember like it was today that I felt the warmth of such a brave gesture towards the innocent and the prosecuted truly amplified by the guitar's sound.
Since then, I wanted to learn how to play such a brief but beautiful moment, and the moment was today.
I gave it a little twist by using my electric guitar (I believe in the soundtrack it's a classical guitar) but hope you like it, anyway!
Thanks for watching, as always ladies and gents!
