Land Transport Master Plan 2040 (LTMP 2040)
The Land Transport Master Plan 2040 (LTMP 2040), which was unveiled on May 25, 2019, provides an in-depth look at the long-term strategies that will be implemented to cater to the transportation requirements of Singaporeans over the course of the next two decades. In order to expand the North-South corridor, two more stops will be built. The Brickland MRT station, which will be located between the Choa Chu Kang MRT station and the Bukit Gombak MRT station, will serve citizens residing in the nearby neighborhoods as well as the soon-to-be-built Tengah New Town. The Sungei Kadut MRT station, which will be situated between the Yew Tee MRT station and the Kranji MRT station, will cater to the transportation needs of the nearby businesses as well as the Sungei Kadut Eco-District, which is still in the planning stages. The openings of both stations are expected to take place around the middle of the 2030s.
