It takes as many as 40 animals to make one fur coat. On fur farms in China, where this footage was filmed, there are no penalties for abusing animals. China, which is the world's largest fur exporter, supplies more than half of the finished fur garments imported for sale in the United States. Foxes, minks, rabbits, and even cats and dogs (whose fur is often intentionally mislabeled for U.S. consumers) suffer in outdoor wire cages, with no shelter from pouring rain, freezing nights, or the scorching sun.
Before they are skinned, animals are yanked from their cages, thrown to the ground, and bludgeoned. Undercover investigators saw workers roughly restrain animals and then anally electrocute them, as in the footage above. Find out more about the horrors of the fur industry: [ Ссылка ].
