We have discussed in many videos the powerful health benefits of consuming raw honey varieties and how it can specifically help to improve your overall health. Its tremendous amounts of antioxidants and immune boosting properties make it a great choice to fight certain diseases. However, raw honey also has medicinal properties and when applied topically to burns and wounds, can actually help in the healing process. Of course, for more serious or severe burns and wounds, always discuss with your medical practitioner for further treatment.

There have been numerous studies that have shown honey’s effectiveness at treating burns and wounds. This is often associated with raw honey’s antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. As well, raw honey has tremendous antiseptic abilities, which allows it to help to naturally reduce the risk of infections.

For these benefits, it is best to use raw, organic unfiltered honey, especially for burns.

This is largely attributed to increased free radical activity, which has the added benefit of reducing scarring as well.
