Thailand is cracking down on migrant workers from neighboring countries, claiming they are "stealing jobs from Thais." The move comes amid fears that anti-immigrant sentiment is rising, as the Southeast Asia's second-largest economy stagnates. Last month, the Thai labor department led raids targeting Vietnamese workers in fresh produce markets in Bangkok. Migrants from Cambodia and Myanmar have also been nabbed in the raids. Human rights groups see growing animosity toward immigrants in Thailand, mirroring similar trends elsewhere in the world.
