They are the exact replica of the pickups used by Brian May from Queen on his Red Special.
In this video you'll hear some distinctive Brian May's tones using combination of those pickups in and out of phase.
For that tones I used the VOX AC4HW (hot mode), with the Fryer Touring Treble Booster, miked with a Neumann U87 vintage through a Neve 1073 preamp into an Apollo X8.
