Tanzania will be going to the polls next week. The country is a member of the East Africa Community.The recent visit to Kenya by outgoing President of Tanzania Jakaya Kikwete was seen as a great move towards ironing out frosty bilateral relations between the two nations - the major players in the economy of the region. The friction has in many cases threatened the process of East Africa's regional economic integration. Sarah Kimani takes a look at Tanzania's place in the East African Community.
