My long nails are genetic but I never cut the cuticles because they seal to the nail and keep my nails healthy. People are mislead to believe cuticles are just dead skin but that is not true. Cuticles are attached to living tissue. The cuticles protect the living tissue from infections. Removing and pushing back that protective layer of skin leaves you prone to more infections. The cuticle shouldn’t be cracked, dry or tore, if so Vaseline will help heal and moisturize them. Never trim your cuticles you’ll thank me later 💖💖
