The Five Eyes Alliance is an intelligence-sharing alliance composed of intelligence service agencies of United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Highly secretive, the Five Eyes Alliance controls and operates the Echelon program. The Five Eyes Alliance was behind the 2013 global surveillance disclosure scandal when preeminent politicians found out that their phones were tapped by the National Security Agency of the United States and other intelligence service agencies.
