While prioritizing safety, Nissan designs and engineers cars that embody the pleasure and richness of driving. Unfortunately, more than 90% of traffic accidents are caused by human error. Therefore, our aspirational goal is to reduce the number of accidents involving Nissan vehicles to virtually zero.
Intersection collision avoidance is the latest additional to Nissan’s in-development, LIDAR-based driver-assistance technology. The technology is aimed to substantially improve collision avoidance by performing certain automatic maneuvers in a variety of complex situations in intersections.
