Becoming a student is easy at Vancouver Island University! It can be done in six simple steps:
Step 1. Choose a program and review the requirements and deadlines. Not sure what you want to take? Take the classes that interest you and choose your program later.
Step 2. Submit your application. You can expect a response letter within 2 weeks. The response letter will assign you a student number and detail any supporting documents required to complete your application.
Step 3. Submit the required documents to complete your application. All we need are official high school and university level transcripts. You may also be asked to submit other documents at a later date.
Step 4. Apply for student housing if you'd like to live on campus. Our beautiful residences on campus are ready for your every need. They're a great place to study, to make friends or even to have a nap in between classes.
Step 5. Wait to receive an admissions decision. We'll notify you no matter what the decision is. If you receive an offer of admission you'll be notified how to accept your offer and when to pay the tuition deposit.
Step 6. You'll receive a registration date. Any time on or after your registration date, log into your student record and register for your classes. Sooner is better as more options may be available.
