OVC Lesbian and Gay Veterinary Medical Association presents guest speaker Dr. Jason Brophy on Friday November 13, 2015. Dr. Brophy is a Clinician Investigator at the CHEO Research Institute and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He is a specialist in the field of pediatric infectious diseases. Dr. Brophy's main research interest is in pediatric/perinatal HIV, and he has several CIHR-funded multi-centre studies ongoing across Canada, as well as in high HIV prevalence countries. He is the current chair of the Canadian Pediatric AIDS Research Group, and a CIHR-Canadian HIV Trials Network Investigator. He is also a Pediatric HIV Clinical Advisor with the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Vietnam.
