Ingredients to make peanut til burfi
• 3 cup Peanuts (Moongfali)
• 1 cup Sesame seeds (Til)
• 2 cups Grated dried coconut (Sukha Nariyal/Khopra)
• 1 tsp Ghee/clarified butter
• 2 cups Gud/Jaggery
Instructions
• Heat a pan on medium heat. Add peanuts and roast it until black spots appear on it.
• Remove & transfer to a plate. Let it cool down completely. Once cooled, remove the skin & set it aside.
• Roast sesame seeds in the same pan over low heat. Remove & set it aside to cool down completely.
• Roast the coconut in the same pan over medium heat until golden. Remove & let it cool down completely.
• Blend the roasted peanuts, sesame seeds & coconut to a fine or coarse powder.
• Grease a plate with ghee. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on it. & set it aside.
• Heat 1 tsp ghee & add jaggery.
• Melt jaggery on low medium heat. Once the foam starts to appear, add cardamom powder.
• Add the blended powder of peanuts, sesame seeds, and coconut to it. Mix it well with jaggery.
• Immediately transfer it to the greased plate.
• Flatten it with a rolling pin & sprinkle some sesame seeds over it.
• Let it cool down for 10-15 minutes.
• Mark cuts on it.
• Soft Peanut til burfi is ready to serve.
